News FältCom launches DART - an IT-based support for education in emergency driving 2011-08-31 FältCom launches DART, Driver Access Recording Tool. An IT-based tool for education in emergency driving which gives professional drivers a possibility to analyse their behaviour in risky moments on the road. With the help of a number of sensors in the emergency vehicle the driving is measured, filmed and logged and can later be recorded and analysed by the driver or a supervisor. The drivers will improve their driving skills and increase road safety. DART is based on FältCom's communications platform MIIPS® that delivers the data via an encrypted web interface which allows access over the Internet. It has been developed in co-operation with the researcher Pontus Albertsson at AKMC and the ambulance team in Umeå. More information about DART
